::Ramblings::

So I ordered up some new sneakers the other day. The package came today, but there were 2 packages. I'd only ordered one pair of shoes, so I was a bit confused. First thing that goes through my mind is I mighta accidentally doubled my order. So I open up the packages to get the invoices out so I can call up the ole sneakers store and try to get everything cleared up, return the extras, and get my money back. One of the packages had a couple of pairs of sneakers. Not my size, brand, or style.

Aroo?

I look at the packing slips. Seems they had a mistake in the ole shipping department. The second package was for a lady in Kansas City, Mizzou.

So I call up the ole sneaker store and explain to em what's goin on in hopes of getting the shoes sent to the lady. The guy on the other end of the phone was shocked that I was actually calling to tell them what had happened. Apparently, most people keep the shoes for themselves/friends or try to sell em on Ebay (I guess they lose a lot of packages). I just try to explain to him that I didn't pay for em, so they weren't mine, and I'd be pretty upset if someone kept my order. Granted the sneaker store would ship out a new order, but even that will eventually start driving up costs on everything when it's happening all the time.

The guy thanked me for my honesty a few times, and said that he'd email me a slip to print out for UPS so that it can get sent off without any cost to me. And then he said he wanted to send me a gift certificate for another pair of shoes just because of my honesty.

So now I'm getting free shoes just because I was honest. Yay!

::End of Summer Swag Sale::

My con season is over, and now I'm tryin to get rid of what little bit of swag I have left.

For books, I have a handful of copies of Zenescope's Grimm Fairy Tales #36 (written by Michael Dolce, pencils Jeff Zornow, colored by me) and Zenescope's 2009 Wonderland Annual: House of Liddle (written by Dan Wickline and Raven Gregory, pencils by Dave Hoover :icontarzman: colored by me).

I also have a few of these 4 prints remaining:

I'm selling it all as full sets. The four 8.5x11 prints plus the 2 comics for $20. Free shipping in the US, add $2 for international orders. I only have 3 copies of the annual left, so I can only sell 3 complete sets. First come, first serve. Just note me if you're interested.
