I've just noticed something in CS2 that's really just driving me nuts.

This happens whenever I'm working on a page and have another page open to color pick. My color swatches seem to get brighter/richer whenever I'm on the page I'm picking, but when I click on the page I'm working on the swatches become duller/darker. It happens in the custom palette swatch thing as well as the foreground/background swatch thing.

Any ideas on what causes that and how I can fix it so that I always have the brighter/richer swatches?

Took part of the night off to watch the Cowboys/Saints game.

Good game. I'd be lying if I said that I expected the Cowboys to win. Almost thought the Saints were gonna pull out the win after Folk's missed FG. Two seasons ago, I was so happy to have Folk, and now I want em to cut him. I'm just hopin the Boys win these last two...

Time to go put on a pot of coffee and get back to work. Gotta finish up the rest of these pages tonight so I can get my corrections done tomorrow.

So I've been coloring these Bionicle pages over the past few days. The lineart is crazy (Stuart Sayger). Not crazy as in bad, but crazy as in there's all kindsa neat little textures in the inkwashes that I was really looking forward to playing with. But, I can't. I color inkwashes a certain way to help knock out some of the black, but the files have to be returned a certain way which means I can't play with the lineart. So while the pages look good, I think they could be better. It's kinda neat seeing how different companies expect their files to be done. It's also neat having to find ways to work within those limitations.

What's sad is I had never even heard of Bionicles before. I knew they were Lego, but that's about it. Apparently they're pretty popular. Hope I don't end up getting hate mail for miscoloring a small item on a background character

So, I'm thinkin that after this weekend, my football season will be pretty much finished. Playoff chances are lookin pretty slim. Just 2 weeks ago, the Boys were leading the NFC East. And then December rolled into town. To be fair, their last 5 games of the season were probably one of the toughest schedules out of any team in the NFL...Chargers, Saints, Giants, Eagles, Skins. The Skins would probably be considered the "easy" game out of that whole group, but there ain't no such thing as an easy game between NFC East teams. Just means I'll have to take down my gaudy journal skin early

Got spammed with a few invites to join a new group here on DA for colorists, so I said what the hell. Seems like a pretty cool group for anyone that wants to be/calls themselves a colororer. Should end up getting pretty huge since there seems to be a ton of comic colorists here on DA. Not sure how much I'll be able to contribute since I can barely contribute to my own gallery

Oh yeah...I'm thinking about hitting Dallas Comic Con at the end of January. Rantz has been whining about missing that rough redneck manlove, so he's been harassing me about going. All depends on how much money I have between now and then. I'll definitely be going to the one in August. Sure would be nice if some of my other friends would show up to that one *cough* lookin at you JojoCamposFaughtDoubJennBryceBen *cough*

Hopefully I'll have enough time after these 2 books to try to get some new prints for the show. I'm thinkin the Dallas/Ft Worth area is tired of my old Witchblade and Batgirl prints

Oh yeah, and the Baroness is still hands down the sexiest villainess in comics.

That's cool. My colors sucked so bad back then (not that they're anything special now). So that's 3 comic titles I've worked on now that have gotten the movie treatment (GIJoe and Trailer Park of Terror). Granted, GIJoe was due for a movie, but TPOT and Piper?

What's funny (to me at least) is how few books I've actually colored. That's gotta be some kinda kickass print to film ratio for a nobody like myself.

The TPOT movie and it's direct to video low budgetness (they did a helluva job with so little budget), and I know I'll love Piper for the same reason.

If Drone gets the movie treatment, I'm just gonna change my name to Garry "Straight To Video Gold" Henderson.
