Too much work and not enough paying attention to current events this week I guess.

Man, his murder went completely under the radar with all the Jacko news and 4th celebrations. I just found out about it completely by accident.

He was one of my favorite QB's in recent years. In his first few years with the Oilers/Titans, it always seemed like he was just so close to taking it to the next level, but couldn't ever get past the hump. He could put up some stats, but it seemed like he could never get the win until his later years. Never failed though, every year in our FF leagues somehow I always managed to get stuck with him as my 2nd or 3rd QB. And every year my other QB's would end up injured for half a season, and Air McNair always pulled through for me.

Can't believe I hadn't seen his death even mentioned in any other journals or blogs.

RIP Steve McNair (February 14, 1973 – July 4, 2009)

Yeah, I knew The Nose died. It was right around the same time as MJ and Farrah. McNair just kinda shocked me because that came completely outta left field.

Hopefully now that they've had the memorial services, we'll quit hearing so much about it. Sure, he was an icon of pop culture, but they've milked that cow dry.
